Imagine having a Mobile Clinic that can travel across Europe and showcase the latest innovations in medical technology. That’s what Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare solutions, has achieved with its core technologies. These include devices that can be implanted inside the body, such as mechanical devices for the heart and blood vessels, devices that can deliver drugs and biologics to specific organs, and devices that can power and enhance surgical instruments.
One of the goals of this project was to introduce two of these amazing devices to health professionals in different countries. These are the smallest pacemaker and heart monitor in the world, which can monitor and regulate the heart’s rhythm without any wires or leads. These devices are revolutionary in their design and function, and can improve the quality of life for millions of patients.
To spread the word about these devices, Medtronic needed a Mobile Clinic Hire style of vehicle that could accommodate their equipment and staff, and also attract attention and interest from the public. That’s why they chose “Millie“, a custom-built bus that was specially designed for this purpose. Millie has a sleek and modern exterior, a spacious and comfortable interior, and a state-of-the-art display system that showcases the devices and their benefits.
Millie started her journey in western Europe, where she visited several cities and hospitals, and met with hundreds of health professionals who were eager to learn more about the devices. The response was so positive and enthusiastic that Medtronic decided to extend the tour to 12 months, and cover the whole of the EU. Millie travelled to more than 20 countries, reaching thousands of people, and making a lasting impression on everyone who saw her.
This project was a great success for Medtronic, as it demonstrated their commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare. It also showed how a Mobile Clinic Hire can be an effective and engaging way of promoting new products and services to a wide audience. Millie was more than just a bus; she was a mobile ambassador for Medtronic’s vision of creating a healthier world.
